George is a partner in the Law Firm of Coia & Lepore, Ltd. He concentrates in the area of civil litigation. He has litigated a multitude of civil cases in Rhode Island state and federal Courts. He graduated Providence College, magna cum laude, in 1974 and earned his law degree from Suffolk University Law School in 1977. He is a member of the U.S. District Court for the District of Rhode Island as well as the U.S. Supreme Court. He is on the Board of Governors of the R.I. Trial Lawyers Association and is a member of the R.I. Bar Association. He is also a member of the Justinian Law Society, St. Thomas Moore Society, American Trial Lawyers Association and the National Italian Bar Association. He has served on the Commission on Judicial Tenure and Discipline, the R.I. Judicial Performance Evaluation Committee and has been a Mock Trial Judge for the R.I. Legal/Education Partnership. Mr. Santopietro has received numerous professional and community awards including the Dorothy Lohmann Award presented to him by the R.I. Bar Association in 2003. | |||
